Our Processing Plants

Our largest processing plant is in Honduras, strategically located near our farms. This ensures we can produce the highest quality shrimp because we deliver them to our plant and process them just hours after they are harvested and immediately iced. Because we control all aspects of production from egg to finished product, we have complete traceability and total control over quality. Our on site microbiological laboratory allows us to detect and correct any potential quality issues immediately. Our plant is, of course, HACCP certified.

At 6,000 square meters Seajoy’s processing plant is one of the largest — and most modern — shrimp processing plants in the world, capable of producing 40,000 pounds of finished product a day. About 90 percent of our production is value-added, including peeled and deveined meats, peeled meats, butterfly cuts, skewers and raw breaded shrimp. We are currently adding a cooking line to expand our growing line of convenient, value-added products. Our plant’s cold storage has the capacity to hold one (1) million pounds of finished product.
